Scope of Works:
Furniture Installation Services Ltd were contracted to carry out the delivery and installation of contemporary outdoor seating for a refurbished roof terrace in the City of London. The objective was to create a functional and visually appealing breakout space suitable for both social interaction and informal working.
The project involved the installation of two distinct styles of outdoor seating:
3 x Modern hexagonal picnic tables with powder-coated pastel pink tops and integrated seating. These were mounted on stainless steel bases and designed with geometric elegance in mind—offering a clean, stylish look with high weather resistance.
2 x Traditional rectangular picnic benches finished in soft green, constructed from coated steel frames with solid composite slats for long-term durability in outdoor conditions.
Each unit was positioned to maximise use of the available space while maintaining a comfortable flow for users and complying with health and safety access regulations. The furniture was securely fixed to the roof terrace’s stone tile surface.
Access & Logistics: Given the rooftop location in a central London building, delivery and movement of the furniture required coordination with on-site facilities teams and careful handling via service lifts.
Surface Leveling: Some minor adjustments were made on-site to accommodate slight variations in paving height, ensuring a level and stable seating experience.
Design Requirements: The client’s brief required a mix of traditional and modern elements. Our installation team ensured the layout blended both styles cohesively while keeping a strong visual balance across the terrace.
The completed installation provided a clean, professional finish and transformed the rooftop into a practical and attractive outdoor environment. The space now supports break times, collaborative discussions, and open-air relaxation with seating that meets both durability standards and aesthetic expectations.
